2003's Invasion was very significant because FIPPOA (the Fire Island Pines Property Owners Association) and John B. Whyte (the owner of the Botel that provoked the first Invasion) finally welcomed Panzi with the keys to the Pines in honor of it's 50th Anniversary! This was also John Whyte's last Invasion, he died at the age of 75 on March 22, 2004. Click on the picture above and below to see more photos with our comments.
